Mini-Review: December Empties

First of all, taking this chance to wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! While some people find New Year Resolutions to be overrated, I always like to take it as a reminder to evaluate and get a mental push to do the things you’ve been meaning to do. So with the ongoing goal of decluttering, I bring to you my December empties!

Miss Dior Cherie Eau de Parfum

  • What is it? One of my signature scents that I first bought in 2005 when I first headed off to college – more than 8 years ago!
  • How was this obtained? Purchased.
  • First time or repeat? 3rd bottle I think.
  • Repurchase? Definitely! But a quick Google made me realize they’ve renamed this to Miss Dior so hoping the scent is the same. For now I’m adding in Elie Saab to my rotation.

Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Cleanser

  • What is it? A refreshing, basic cleanser that is a great way to start your morning skincare routine. Especially good if you’re a morning gym goer – love the tingly feeling that wakes you up.
  • How was this obtained? PR sample from Johnson & Johnson Beauty 101 event.
  • First time or repeat? First time.
  • Repurchase? Most likely but I need to use up my existing sample cleansers first!

Benefit Fake Up Concealer

  • What is it? A unique 2-in-1 formula – the concealer tube is surrounded by a moisturizing balm to ensure it hydrates as it conceals.
  • How was this obtained? Purchased.
  • First time or repeat? First time – I can’t resist buying any new launch from Benefit.
  • Repurchase? Already into my second tube – my everyday concealer at the moment!

My goal in January is to get to the bottom of the pan of some of my makeup items (I’m looking at you 20+ blushes!). Wish me luck and share with us what your beauty resolutions are for 2014.
