Gap Holiday 2012

18 Gap Holiday 2012

It’s the season of new Holiday collections and after big sister Banana Republic showed an impressive winter collection, how could baby brother Gap be left behind.  The Al Tayer group put up a fun show at The Pavillion Downtown last week.

Gap is known for its comfortable casual collection with the incorporation of bright colors. We saw this in the summer “Be Bright” collection, and the Holiday collection followed in a similar vein. Continue reading

On the Ramp: Oscar de la Renta Fall 2012 RTW

I know the weather outside screams summer but the fall ready-to-wear collections are just around the corner and the campaigns are hitting the magazines already.  Fall is my favorite season since you can play it safe with neutrals but still add some spice with colors and textures.

Oscar de la Renta’s Fall 2012 Ready-to-Wear collection is this perfect blend of the serious and feminine. Structured cuts that were offset by florals and jewel prints. The looks are further enhanced by the gorgeous clutches.

The print campaign gives a peak at the collection but visit Style.com for all all the looks.

On the Ramp: Erdem Resort 2013

While I’m usually a sucker for established designers like Elie Saab, Gucci and Dior, recently some new designers have made their mark, like Erdem in the 2013 Resort collection.

Canadian-British-Turkish designer, Erdem Moralıoğlu has been favored by both Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama in the past. The recent Resort 2013 collection caught my eye with its use of floral prints, lace and bold colors including white, navy blue and pink.

WIth highly tailored silhouettes offset by soft prints, Erdem is the first collection that has made me wish for prints in my closet.
