Ek Tha Tiger 300x210 Movie Review: Ek Tha TigerA handsome spy travels the world and a beautiful woman also makes an appearance. Sounds familiar? Yes, Ek Tha Tiger‘s plot sounds very similar to the recent Agent Vinod. Thankfully, the similarities end there and Ek Tha Tiger proves to be more superior.

Ek Tha Tiger marks the first time Salman Khan makes an appearance in a Yash Raj Film, which is especially surprising considering his 20+ year career in Bollywood. So how what happens when you take Salman “Masala Entertainer” Khan fare and cross it with Kabir “New York” Khan’s direction? An entertaining film that makes a little more sense that Salman’s previous outings.

Music Monday: Mashallah – Ek Tha Tiger

It’s the last week of Ramadan and that can only mean one thing – Eid is around the corner!  And for any Bollywood addict this means the release of a Salman Khan blockbuster. For the past 4 years there has been a Salman Khan movie released each Eid, which have each turned into a superhit: Wanted (2009), Dabangg (2010), Bodyguard (2011) and finally Ek Tha Tiger this year.

While admittedly, Salman’s recently hits have been a little too brainless for me, I’m excited for Ek Tha Tiger, for both Katrina and Salman reuniting and this being Salman’s first film with Yash Raj Films. And the “Mashallah” song featuring the absolutely breathtaking Katrina Kaif has overtaken the airwaves – I can’t wait to see this on the big screen!

Ek Tha Tiger releases on August 15th in the UAE. Advanced tickets are now available at Vox Cinemas.
