If we thought the first quarter of 2012 was average, Q2 has been even more mediocre. There was the overrated Vicky Donor, disasterous Dangerous Ishhq, lukewarm Teri Meri Kahaani and disappointing Cocktail.
The second half of the year tends to be Bollywood’s strongest with the biggest releases lined up for the period from Ramadan to Diwali.
We kick off Eid with Salman Khan’s first venture with Yashraj Films, Ek Tha Tiger. Other biggies include Barfi with Ranbir Kapoor as a deaf/mute man and Kareena Kapoor’ in and as Heroine. The comedy Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi also caught our eye with choreographer/director Farah Khan’s turn debut as an actor.
