Mini-Review: February Empties

We’ve stepped into March and spring in Dubai is in full swing! While I didn’t get to the bottom of a lipstick or lip gloss as planned, I managed to finish up a few skincare items. Let’s have a look!

February Empties

Kérastase Reflection Masque Chroma Captive

  • What is it? Conditioner especially formulated for colored hair. Even though it’s a mask, I use it like a normal conditioner, usually once per week.
  • How was this obtained? Purchased.
  • First time or repeat? First time, a recommendation from my colorist.
  • Repurchase? Definitely! I can feel the difference every time I use this.

The Body Shop Bath Brush

  • What is it? A rough bristle brush used for dry brushing your body to remove dead skin and prevent cellulite.
  • How was this obtained? Purchased.
  • First time or repeat? First time.
  • Repurchase? Yes but I’m leaning towards the Elemis Body Detox Skin Brush!

Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub

  • What is it? A body scrub made of sea salt that smells delicious and looks fun thanks to the blue hue.
  • How was this obtained? Purchased.
  • First time or repeat? First time – I’m a Lush regular but this is the first body scrub I purchased.
  • Repurchase? Not yet – I kind of miss my old favorite, The Body Shop’s Lemon Body Scrub!

Lush Mint Julips Lip Scrub

  • What is it? A minty sugar scrub for your lips. The peppermint oils make this a natural plumper for your lips.
  • How was this obtained? Purchased.
  • First time or repeat? First time.
  • Repurchase? YES! Such delicious flavors. My only issue is that this clumps up when exposed to water so I suggest storing it outside of your bathroom.

This month I tossed out a brush, which made me think we forget about the tools in our beauty kit. When’s the last time you tossed something that wasn’t a consumable?
