In an effort to clear the clutter (and have more photographs for this month’s edition of ‘Empties‘), I took a look at my bathroom shelf to see what products I could use up quickly. I noticed a half-used bottle of L’Oreal Total Repair conditioner. This was a forced buy as I ran out of my usual Kérastase conditioner and this was the only one I could at the store near my home. And if it works for Aishwarya Rai, it should work for me, right?
Wrong. My hair never took to this product and I kept using other conditioners instead. As a result, this bottle has been on my shelf for the better part of a year. I was almost ready to toss it until I though isn’t a conditioner just a moisturier for the hair? I squirted a bit of product and applied it to my legs and rinsed it off. Voila – I was left with moisturized legs!
While I don’t think this the most cost-effective or efficient way to moisturize your legs (I like baby oil in the shower much more), it’s a great way to use up a product you don’t like or as a multi-tasker on vacation.
Do you have any non-typical ways to use beauty products?
