Spotlight: Gap Holiday 2012

It’s the season of new Holiday collections and after big sister Banana Republic showed an impressive winter collection, how could baby brother Gap be left behind.  The Al Tayer group put up a fun show at The Pavillion Downtown last week.

Gap is known for its comfortable casual collection with the incorporation of bright colors. We saw this in the summer “Be Bright” collection, and the Holiday collection followed in a similar vein.

The colored denim skinnies were back in new hues of cobalt blue, dark pink, fluorescent yellow and khaki. These would go great with the tan wedges found in the collection.

There was also an emphasis on more masculine prints and cuts including stripes, plaids, bomber jackets and the classic GAP sweatshirt as well.

In case you’re heading somewhere cool this summer, there was a good mix of light knits and heavy outerwear and some great colors of cowl neck scarves.  I also especially love the refreshing take on boots that all the men were wearing. And if you have a little one, there are some adorable sweatshirts available in stores.

So head on to Gap this long weekend to refresh your wardrobe. Good news is they’ve expanded their store to almost every mall in Dubai!
