Review: Kaya Hyaluronic Moisturizing Serum

You would think that a beauty blogger would never have a dearth of products to use. While that can be said for most products, for some time I’ve been struggling to find the perfect serum.

Many people why bother with serum? I used to feel the same way but on some days you just need a little more TLC and a moisturizer doesn’t seem to help. The serum’s lightweight texture means that the particles are more easily absorbed into the skin.

I’ve tried a few serums from the medium and high-end brands but I think I’ve found my first favorite via Kaya Advanced Range Hyaluronic Moisturizing Serum.

Being a chemical engineer, ingredients are very important for me. This serum caught my attention since it had the word “hyaluronic” in it. Hyaluronic acid is a carbohydrate that occurs naturally though out our body and is most prevalent in the skin preserving its youthfulness and elasticity. For this reason, a lot of skincare brands are putting a big push behind this ingredient.

The serum essentially looks like water but applies more like an oil-based gel without the greasiness. It applies easily to the skin leaving a velvety layer on top. I apply the serum at night after cleansing and don’t apply any additional products. Upon waking up in the morning, my skin feels moisturized and refreshed.  After using continuously for 2 weeks, I noticed my skin seemed brighter and more even. If you’re in the market for a serum, I definitely recommend testing out this one.

Dollz Tip: Apply the serum immediately after cleansing your face. A damp face will allow the moisture to be trapped by the serum.
