Each film awards means a bevy of Indian movie stars strutting it on the red carpet and this year’s IIFA awards in Singapore was no exception.
While the glamour quotient on the IIFAs was lower (no Kareena, Deepika, Katrina), one upcoming star did capture our attention – Kalki Koechlin.
Kalki Koechlin is an unconventional Bollywood actress with her french heritage. Generally her style is more au naturale but we’ve seen her take the glamourous route in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
For the IIFA Green Carpet (not a typo), Kalki wore a red gown from Victoria Beckham’s Spring RTW 2010 collection. With the fresh face and soft, long waves, Kalki stood out from the over-primped and over-dazzled with her simple gown that fit her like a glove.
So what do you think? Liking Kalki’s look? We think she fared better than most of the other starlets of the night, including Best Debut winner Parineeti Chopra in her poofy monstrosity.
Love the red gown but why the minimal accessories? Red and black is always a winning combination but i just think that the black clutch she carried and the narrow strap watch makes the ensemble look a bit dull. BUT without them (or a accessories of a different color) it’s fab!
