I love Bollywood films to death but I’ll be first to admit that we don’t do action well. Our forte is romantic comedies and dramas but there is no desi version of Mission Impossible or Men in Black.
Which is precisely why this Friday’s release, Agent Vinod, caught my attention. Coming with the hype of a desi Bond flick, I was interested to see what Saif Ali Khan’s first production would churn out.
The term Cyber Monday was coined to mark the Monday after Black Friday that companies used to encourage people to shop online. Our Cyber Monday column here will highlight spectacular online finds, blogs we love or just our general love for all things digital.

Cyber Monday – Issue 4 – Jawhara
A few weeks back the lovely folks Asda’a invited me to the launch of the region’s newest site for women, Jawhara.me.
Jawhara is a bilingual, multi-content portal focused on women. With the succes of blogs and brands looking to target women, it isn’t suprising to see sites like Jawhara popping up in the Middle East. Jawhara covers a range of topics including fashion, beauty, food and much more.
It’s also good to see more quality Arabic content being available in this region. All the best to Jawhara and don’t forget to checkout their Mother’s Day contest to win some goodies.
If I was allowed only one beauty product for the rest of my life, I would have to choose mascara. Along with a cappuccino from my Nespresso machine, mascara can ensure I look awake even when running on 4 hours of sleep.
The thing with mascara is that it’s almost impossible to find the perfect one. And more than that, what works for one person, may not work for others. So disclaimer, before you head out and buy this one (yes, I do recommend it), keep in mind some of my other favorites include Maybelline Volume Express, Dior DiorShow Extase, and Benefit They’re Real mascaras. Meanwhile, cult favorites from Chanel, YSL and MAC have failed for me.

Being a longtime Dubai resident, I’m proud of the fact that I know of all the city’s hotspots and have gone to most of the big events in my 18 years of living here. While not one of the most glamourous blogging activities, it definitely was a great experience.
