|
| Amber Heard – Zac Posen
D: Very ho hum, dislike the top and the hair. But I do like the peekaboo trend. BB: I like the edginess–tough girl glam! A- |
Angelina Jolie – Jenny Packham
D: She looks pretty but the dress is horrendous. Leather never drapes well. B-
B: Angie in yet another sexy black dress and showing only the slightest of smiles… Snooze. B- |
|
|
| Ariel Winter – Colette Dinnigan
D: Love this! Vey age appropriate and love the navy blue/grey colors. Nice refresher from all the black outfits. B+
B: Cute, but the bustier makes her body seem out of proportion. Love that the braid across the top though! B |
Ashlee Simpson – Jenny Packham
D: The top hangs a little too low on the chest in my opinion and not quite sure what the sheer is doing. C
B: Reminds me of Vanessa Hudgen’s sparkly Halloween-inspired Packham from a month ago. Packham’s glittering details are better left for softer pink and nude hues. C+ |
|
|
| Busy Phillips – Katie Nehra
D: This would be a gorgeous outfit for a day on the pier but not the red carpet. Love the braid though! D
B: Time for a new stylist, Busy. Prints almost never work for evening wear. F |
Diana Agron – Caroline Herrera
D: It’s a simple dress but she looks absolutely gorgeous. Love the delicate draping and braided hair. B+
B: Love the braid across the top (Thanks Jennifer Aniston, ’09 Oscars!). Diana’s fuschia number looks great, but it’s a safe choice. B |
|
|
| Emily Blunt – Oscar de la Renta
D: My favorite look of the night. The color is absolutely stunning and the simple styling makes it work. Only negative, the hair. A+
B: Wow–what a stunner. The green is an appropriate choice–I’m green with envy over Emily’s dress! A+ |
Emma Stone – Alexander McQueen
D: I’m usually not a fan of black but I love this look. Hair, makeup, dress, shoes – the whole look is absolutely perfect! A
B: Emma, my style muse, hits another one out of the park. Love her hair and make-up, and the cocktail dress is a nice alternative from the full evening gown. A+ |
|
|
| Heather Morris – Unknown
D: Uh oh, another leather disaster. Sheer panel isn’t helping and the silver accessories scream “Cheap” to me. D
B: Pick either unique cuts or unique textures–not both! And the slicked back hair isn’t working. D |
Jane Krakowski – Antonio Berardi
D: More black. This one fares slightly better but something about it just doesn’t sit right with me. C
B: Jane’s bosom looks on display–the dress draws me to look there rather than at her face! C- |
|
|
| Jayma Mays – Reem Acra
D: Not one of Reem Acra’s best, but it works. I love the lace paneling in the back for an otherwise conservative gown. B
B: I’m undecided on this sea of sequins… I do like the back paneling though. C+ |
Jessica Chastain – Calvin Klein
D: While I like the color, the dress is just a little too simple for my taste. Also, the bodice is again a little low on her. C
B: The color is a good choice for Jessica’s hair, but the cut does nothing to accentuate her body. C+ |
|
|
| Julianna Marguiles – Calvin Klein
D: Simple but beautiful. The detailing on the fabric makes it look ultra luxe. Just wish she had done something more with the hair. B+
B: Modern brides-to-be must be drooling over this one. B+ |
Julie Bowen – Temperley London
D: Another dress that I love. The drop waist, shoulder details and color are all great. Unfortunately it overwhelms Julie. B+
B: Love the flowing Grecian-goddess look of this dress! Looks comfy and fab! A- |
|
|
| Regina King – Alberta Ferretti
D: Love this! I’m a sucker for soft detailing and the color is absolutely beautiful. Nothing wrong with this at all. A
B: A dreamy vision of purple! I like that she went sans necklace–minimal, natural beauty. A |
Michelle Williams – Valentino
D: I like it waste up, but something about the shortened length seems off. Also not a fan of the matching red heels. B-
B: I like the dress but the shoes ruin it for me. Too many visible toes for a formal event. B |
|
|
| Octavia Spencer – Tadashi Shoji
D: A very elegant design with a twist. The sarong wrap skirt adds a casual element to an otherwise formal outfit. A-
B: Love the large-bun hair–very classy–and the dress is fabulous! A |
Naya Riviera – Naaem Khan
D: This outfit fits Naya like a glove. The color is beautiful and the silhouette is very flattering. A
B: Naya looks lovely–a subtly sexy elegant. I couldn’t help but notice that obnoxiously large ring on her finger, though. A- |
|
|
| Sofia Vergara – Marchesa
D: Another typical Sofia outfit – tight and bright! She looks great but the bodice seems lopsided to me. B+
B: Sofia looks fabulous, yet again, but it would be nice to see her try some different silhouettes. Fuschia seems to be popular this year! B+ |
Shailene Woodland – L’Wren Scott
D: Oh my eyes! I get that they were going for a youthful look bu the combination of flowers and shimmery blue is too much. F
B: Shailene was hitting home runs on the red carpet up until this moment. Yet another example of prints gone wrong. D |
|
|
| Sarah Hyland – Temperley London
D: Another perfect for Sarah. I love the softness of the outfit – only wish it came in a brighter color. A-
B: So many starlets are foregoing necklaces–I like this trend! Sarah looks great, but we’ve seen her in so many nude gowns already this season. B |
Rose Byrne – Elie Saab
D: A white jumpsuit doesn’t seem to be the best red carpet choice but this Elie Saab creation is perfect! A-
B: Sequin white jumpsuit? Not many women could pull this off, but Rose actually manages to so props to her. B |
|
|
| Zoe Saldana – Givenchy
D: Dislike. The skirt fabric looks cheap along with the visible tank top. The silver collar doesn’t help. C
B: It looks like she’s wearing a guy’s undershirt under that sheer top. C |
Stacy Kiebler – Marchesa
D: I couldn’t find a photo without George Clooney but Stacy Kiebler looks great. Love the lace boat neck and fishtail skirt. B+
B: Ha–I think you just didn’t want to find a photo without George . Stacy looks like the perfect lady, as always! B+ |
|
|
| Kaley Cuoco – Romona Keveza
D: Another favorite of mine. If I had to imagine a wedding gown, this would be it. Bonus points for the head braid. A-
B: Pretty, but too princess-y. B- |
Kelly Osbourne – Badgley Mischka
D: A little too much detailing for my taste The rope belt looks weird and without it I think it would have been a hit. B-
B: The silhouette is lovely, but Kelly’s hair ruins every dress for me! C |
|
|
| Kristen Wiig – Baliencaga
D: I like the drama the collar adds but it’s too much with the high neck halter. The waist falls at the wrong point. B
B: Love the dress minus the choker. Bright sparkly gold bracelets would have made this amazing. A- |
Lea Michele – Versace
D: You ave to admit she looks sexy but the slit is a little too much. Also I would have switched out the shoes. B+
B: I think Lea is killing it in this dress! I love the oh-so-high slit! A+ |
